Attic Restoration & Weatherization – Duxbury, MA

This Duxbury, MA, home had significant attic moisture issues that led to mold growth. Our team began by removing the existing insulation and performing professional mold remediation. The attic was then thoroughly HEPA-vacuumed to create a clean, safe environment for weatherization improvements.

To address the source of the moisture problem, we properly vented the bathroom exhaust fan to the exterior using an insulated bath fan duct. We then air-sealed the attic floor to reduce air leakage and improve overall energy efficiency.

As part of the weatherization upgrade, we installed soffit ventilation baffles (PropaVents) to maintain proper airflow, sealed and dammed around mechanical penetrations, insulated the attic access hatch, and added 15 inches of open-blown cellulose insulation throughout the attic.
